New Soccer Field Planned for Spring 2017!

Dear Members of CCSL,

We are proud to announce plans for a new soccer field to be be built in Heritage Park in Andrews.  The field is projected to be open for play inside the 32 acre county owned park by the Spring of 2017.  The league has raised approximately $30, 000 from public, private, and non-profit funds for this project and we would like to invite all of our parents to an informational meeting to learn more about the league’s plans to improve soccer facilities in Cherokee County!

The informational meeting will be held May 28 at 10:00 AM at the U10 field in Marble, just prior to the academy evaluations.  Please join us to discuss one of the most exciting developments in the history of our association!

Games are on! (May 21)

The games are on as scheduled in Hayesville today.  Thanks.

CCSL Academy Evaluations, May 28

Dear Parents,
Player evaluations and required parent meeting for next year’s CCSL Academy will be held Saturday, May 28 in Marble at the U10 field at 10:00 (after last U10 game finishes). Children born between 2005 – 2009 are eligible for the program and registration for next year will open June 1.  Registration for Jr. Academy will also open June 1, but there is no evaluation needed for that program.  Jr. Academy will be open for children born in 2010 or 2011.  If you plan on bringing your child(ren) to the evaluation, please follow this link to a short sign-up form.  This will enable the coaches to organize activities and plan for the afternoon.

In addition to 8U – 10U CCSL Academy will be fielding a 12U team for the league’s more experienced players who are ready for the challenges of 8v8 travel soccer for 2016 – 2017. We are looking for a minimum of 14 players for this team. The team will play most of its games against academy teams from the N. Atlanta to the N. Georgia areas. We are currently working out scheduling details, but this level of competition will expose our local kids to the highest levels of play in these age groups in our area. More information about this will be shared at the parent meeting.

The number and age divisions of the teams will be determined based on player registration and skill level of the players.  All current and potential academy players must attend a skills evaluation to determine the child’s appropriate level of play.  CCSL Academy is the league’s bridge between recreation and full competitive travel soccer. More information is available by clicking on the academy tab above.  We are committed to providing an environment that maximizes your child’s skill development, learning, and enjoyment of the game of soccer.

Thank You,
Roddy Alt, Academy Director
